I think there's a big disconnect between valuing freedom and respecting veterans versus the wars that are fought today. Most Canadians feel very passive and anti-war these days but we were dragged into it grace à the USA. I'm not saying that only negative has come from this war but it's cost a lot of money and been very invasive and sensationalist... freedom=/=war. I don't think they're being ungrateful.... 
i think every mtbiker can relate to this concept... but when i'm in class i try to keep my head up and eyes directed toward the front despite dreaming of riding.

It sounds really corny but someday I want to live in the country near some trails & relatively close to a lift-access hill and just be really secluded away from the screwedupness of the world... I'd probably get really bored considering how used to living at a fast pace people are these days (myself included) but maybe i'd learn to slow down again and just bike a lot.
Canada is reviewing a bill that is very similar to DMCA/SOPA bills right now (C-11, look it up, it's scary as f*ck too). This right wing gvt scares the sh*t outta me..... The new flannel dh kits they're sporting are BOMB! Function AND fashion.

HAHA! i'mma neg prop you back. gl on your exams. oops i think i may have taken your comment the wrong way... as in maybe you just wanna barf because you're sick of school. just think about the thousands of dollars you've put into your schooling for the past 3/4 years and maybe you'll feel better about other people getting a vague understanding/idea of what it is you study and maybe give people credit for taking the time to take an interest....
It's like when I read some of the nutrition/training posts on here... I'm paying thousands of dollars to learn this at uni and get some letters behind my name. Some of the info posted on here is dumbed down or questionable (in the sense that the research evidence can go either way, it's not clear cut like the article makes it out to be) BUT I try to keep in mind that people are interested and it may give them a base to learn on or more respect for my field. Not trying to call you out, man... but the "barf" comment was a little bitchy.
If you really want to show ppl how it's done then enter a design! I LOVE THE WAY YOU EXPLAIN ARMOR. THANK YOU.
Great article! I have frequently thought about trying a martial arts course to see if i can improve my bailing skills. I've got step 1 covered (which is usually to distance myself from the bike) but not step 2 (everything else).
ps- I have a one of those Dainese shuttle suits for sale if anyone's looking..... of course the coastal crew's pumptrack has a boner log hip! 
nope. just a little over-the-bars with hyper-extended-elbow action! good thing the metal plug in there doesn't allow me to hyper-extend it anymore....
